Journal of Eurasian Economies

Editorial Review Process

Each submitted paper will go through a multi-stage editorial and peer review process:

  1. Abstract review: The editor in chief reviews the abstract of the paper for relevancy for the field of the journal.
  2. Format review: The assistant editors review whether the manuscript adheres to the formatting rules for the journal.
  3. Plagiarism review: The assistant editors assess using academic plagiarism checking software whether the article as a whole and/or portions of it have been published elsewhere. Articles with more than 40% of similarity to previously published work are rejected.
  4. Language review: The language editors review the article for spelling and grammar errors.
  5. Content review: The paper is then assigned to two scientific board members who evaluate its academic content. The reviewers may accept it as is, require minor modifications, require major modifications or reject.
Content review is conducted by a double-blind anonymous review process: The reviewers do not know who the authors are and the authors do not know who the reviewers are.
  6. References review: The editors ensure that citations and references given in the article are valid.
